This usually takes 3 to 4 weeks. They're currently connected to our DS3 backbone via an ISDN dial-up connection. We've had a number of calls from folks who have tracerouted to us and have called to find out what is going on with Cybercom. We are in no way associated with Cyber Access and we really don't have any idea what's going on with them either. They've simply come to us looking for leased line service. If we find out anything from them we'll post it, and if they call here we'll urge them to provide an explanation on these newsgroups. ---------------------------- Bill Southworth HarvardNet Inc. 617 262-4200 voice 617 531-2002 fax http://harvard.net ------------ From: "Bill Southworth" Newsgroups: ne.internet.services Subject: Cybercom Date: Thu, 22 May 1997 10:22:19 -0400 Organization: HarvardNET Message-ID: <5m1l9t$1r2$1@news.kersur.net> We're getting many, many calls from Cybercom customers hoping to dial in directly to HarvardNet or wanting information about Cybercom. Cybercom is connected to us with a 128K dial-up ISDN connection and they have a T1 connection on order. We don't know anything about the status of Cybercom or what happened with their MCI connection. Actually we probably know less about Cybercom than most of these callers. Also, we don't provide any consumer dial-up access and can't really be of help to any these people looking for dial-up access. We provide T1 through T3 service to about eight ISPs and we maintain a USR 56K dial-up pool in 15 POPs in metropolitan Boston which we sell in bulk to companies and to some of the ISPs who get service from us. -------------------------- Bill Southworth HarvardNet 617 262-4200 voice 617 531-2002 fax http://harvard.net
