Specifically, the deposition request is of concern. You, OSA questioned me in October 1995, and you asked me who SCAMIZDAT was. I replied that no-one knew. You asked me to tell you what I knew about Grady Ward, and I replied that I knew nothing about Grady Ward. You asked me these questions in a hotel room, in Cape Town, South Africa, without an attorney present, without informing me of my right to have an attorney present. Obviously, that is not all that happened, but I have no wish to discuss the matter with anyone. I decided not to pursue the matter any further, as I just wanted to be left alone, and I still do. But I can't keep quiet on this one. Not when I know that you were looking for evidence linking Grady to SCAMIZDAT on October 18th, 1995 (it may have been the 19th, my distinction between night and day was rather blurred by that stage), and that you HAD none. You know, and I know, that you have NO evidence linking Grady Ward to SCAMIZDAT. You only have speculation, and his own taunts to go on. But you have no evidence. Despite this, the judge seems to have been convinced to extend the TRO. Despite NO evidence. I find the American legal system a tad difficult to comprehend. But, in this deposition, you are asking *GRADY* to provide you with the evidence you do not have? This is not only back-to-front, it is ludicrous! You are *still* pursuing the conspiracy theory? You obviously could not get an injunction to raid, nor could you get away with an uninvited interrogation, so you request Grady to give you evidence which you do not have? Which he doesn't have? For once and for all, this is NOT AN ORCHESTRATED planned conspiracy. People act spontaneously. People do not formulate "missions", or "operations" like your organisation does. People are individuals. The courts laughed out my previous Declarations. Wasn't that embarressing enough to you? I refuted them when I was able to, when I had come to my senses. Even though I knew no court would take them seriously (thank heavens some courts *can* "evaluate data"), I still refuted them, because I would NOT have you haul them out as a propaganda document, a symbol of your win at all costs, and my shame - the way you do with Vicki Aznaran's. Unlike Vicki, I could never, never live with a betrayal like that. Even refuted, it will haunt me for the rest of my life. If that's what "spiritual freedom" costs, then I choose hell over that, any day. And I know what hell is. You're NOT going to make the same mistake again? There is no conspiracy. I'm sorry, but wishing it were so, so that you could handle it per policy is not going to make it happen. People are acting spontaneously, and from what I gather, this situation is going to get worse and worse if you keep attacking people like this. And you have no evidence that Grady Ward is doing SCAMIZDAT. You're embarressing yourselves, and the American legal system - and once the judge realises his mistake, you will have succeeded in antagonising even more people than you already have. Where is the evidence, OSA? Kim Baker Disclaimer: I am expressing an opinion on an *event*. I am not criticising or attacking Scientology. I have not even mentioned it once. OK, OSA? And just to confirm - I don't want any of you people anywhere near me ever again.
